Job Purpose:
To build upon and run a highly successful US Specialty Pharmaceutical business; direct the US operation through the Leadership Team to meet P&L expectations; motivate and drive the Sales Management team to deliver sales results in line with brand strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and sustain a strategic vision and performance-driven culture for US business unit
- Report directly to SVP Commercial and support overall corporate objectives and initiatives. Provide recommendations for improvements to US business operation with necessary supporting analysis and rationale
- Chair the US Leadership Team; participate in the appropriate head office leadership committees and provide a US perspective into the running of the business
- Manage all the aspects of various US business operations including commercial, human resources, operations, administrative services, legal, medical affairs and finance and provide local management and leadership to co-located non-Commercial staff
- Manage, coach and develop Regional Sales Managers to ensure that their business plans are aligned with Company goals
- Work closely with Corporate Account Managers to ensure appropriate Managed Markets access
- Keep up to date with ongoing US healthcare and reimbursement environment and work with stakeholders on how they affect sales
- Interact with key opinion leaders and decision makers in order to establish a significant presence and position within the US
- Work with Business Development to identify and evaluate partnering and in-licensing opportunities in the US
- Manage effective internal company relationships, specifically in the preparation for launching KHK products into the US market
- Represent Company at Oncology conferences and meetings
- Foster good corporate responsibility and citizenship and the active involvement of Company’s US business unit in the community
Position Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in Pharma sales and marketing, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Oncology experience preferred
- A Bachelors or Masters level degree
- Demonstrated sustained P&L success in previous roles
- Strong business information systems knowledge (IMS, WK, DART, etc.)
- Willing to travel weekly throughout the domestic United States lead, support and coach the Sales Management team so that they achieve and exceed sales goals
- Must be hands on and willing to roll up your sleeves and accomplish tasks without delegation
- Demonstrated resilience, determination and creativeness to overcome obstacles as well as a pro-active approach to problem resolution
- Proven successful launch experience, with an in-depth understanding of Specialty Pharma reimbursement and market access
- Ideally a well developed network and knowledge of the US medical market.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel, overnight, a considerable proportion of the time
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Extensive and out of office hours required

Salary is up to 225k plus 30% bonus. No equity is offered for this position and the position is based in the company’s NJ headquarters. Relocation package offered!
