Job Description:
Are you looking for a highly-visible and fast-paced position? If so, my client has an exciting opportunity for you! They are seeking to hire a dynamic recruiter to join their team. This position will be resident in our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and actively manage the day-to-day recruiting efforts for lateral attorney hires, with a specific focus on partner recruiting
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, including attorneys, staff, candidates and search consultants
- Proactively research potential candidates, prescreen resumes, schedule interviews, collect evaluation feedback, manage due diligence process and coordinate travel arrangements as needed
- Work with our two Recruiting Directors to implement strategic recruiting goals, including diversity goals supporting the firm’s objectives
- Meet and greet candidates, as well as monitor local interview schedules
- Oversee approval process for new hire requests, job descriptions, and the posting/advertisement process
- Create and review offer letters and proposal packages for new hires
- Co-manage a lateral recruiting coordinator and provide back-up support for team members and other offices as needed
- Update and maintain recruiting database and candidate e-files
- Track budget expenses and maintain cost control measures; assist in the preparation of the annual budget process; and seek out creative, cost-effective search strategies
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- 4+ years of management experience, particularly related to partner recruiting, in a recruiting position within a law firm required, and Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Demonstrated management ability, initiative and proactive approach to recruiting
- Highly motivated, creative, flexible, results-oriented and the ability to prioritize appropriately
- Must be extremely responsive to both internal and external clients
- Strong interpersonal, detail-oriented and organizational skills, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple, diverse projects concurrently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to represent the firm in a highly professional manner
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work well in a team environment with all levels of personnel and establish effective working relationships
- Flexibility to travel and work extended hours as needed
