My client, a global IP law firm, is seeking an Trademark Associate attorney with 2-3 years’ experience in the intellectual property field to join the Trademark, Copyright and Brand Management department in its New York office.
This Associate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of trademark, copyright and related unfair competition and marketing issues, including trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement matters; opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board ; marketing and advertising clearance work, including social media marketing; website and mobile application policies; rights of publicity issues; and contest and promotions regulatory compliance. The work will also include assisting with various types of intellectual property related agreements, including licensing, joint development agreements; digital content issues; and intellectual property-related due diligence in corporate transactions.
Qualified candidates will have:
· Two to three years of intellectual property experience
· Interest in transactional work
· Technological aptitude and digital experience,
· Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail,
· Excellent analytical and writing skills, and
· Strong academic performance
