My client, prestigious global law firm, is seeking an experienced IP Docketing Analyst to be located in its Washington, DC office. Under the general supervision of the IP Services Supervisor, the IP Docket Analyst will provide firm-wide support to U.S. and foreign patent matters ensuring integrity and accuracy of all docket functions. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, process incoming mail from the USPTO for distribution to the attorney/secretarial teams, perform daily docketing and/or de-docketing functions of U.S. and foreign; enter docket information into IP database, update database as needed, and generate various reports, including attorney dockets on a regular basis; follow-up as needed with USPTO, foreign agents and internal clients on communications received that require further clarification. Successful candidates should have minimum 2 years of U.S. and foreign patent docketing experience; possess knowledge of and keep abreast of rules according to the 37 C.F.R. and various foreign countries’ IP rules; knowledge of and experience with IP docketing database; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive, detailed data; outstanding communication, problem-solving skills and availability to work overtime as needed.
